About my work

You can't please every one, and if you do, your treated subject is too common and weak. I speak here about art, without pretension, but with some ambition. Art is communication, and if each viewer like your work, it's because you speak about the forecast of the weather, not about death or life. If you don't like my photos, it doesn't matter, it's even quite normal (at least 50 % of the people don't appreciate my approach of this art). Because we are all different in taste, I welcome you and your style warmly in my workshops.

You understand: these workshops don't aim to copy my manner to photograph and to process. I'm not teaching how to do what I do. First of course, I'm just a photographer guiding you in the hidden spots, for you to create. Second, I wish to help you to define your style if this one is unsure in your mind.

My own technique can be described as something organic. I like the textures. I like to re-create the sense of touch using the imagination of others. I like the gritty matter, the dirty swarming of life as much as the one of the steel girders in skyscrapers. Why?

I got a motto, coined by experience and reflection :

I like the idea to be a storyteller, inviting people to stop in front of my photos in order to enjoy a story. This one can be narrative, with lines of signs to follow for a chronicle to appear (and to imagine the end). The story can be as well emotional, with an emotion to feel, to develop.
